Let us be frank and honest. Most consumers want to do the right thing, buying eco-friendly products is the “right thing” it’s also the money saving thing. However the truth is most consumers have bought into the propaganda of equipment manufacturers.

The FUD theory is to keep America from buying eco-friendly products.

FEAR – Will these remanufactured products cause me to lose my printer warranty?

UNCERTAINITY – My friend said he bought a remanufactured cartridge a few years ago and it wasn’t very good. The salesman at the office supply store said they don’t sell remanufactured because his boss said they aren’t very good and so forth.

DOUBT – Will the company stand behind their remanufactured or compatible products? Will I get the same number of printed pages? Will I save money?

That’s the F-U-D in the propaganda and it costs consumers millions of dollars each year. Unless your printing requires commercial grade “color match” results, you are in most cases wasting your money and not helping the environment very much.

Great to hold a sign up once a year in support of Earth Day but if we don’t use remanufactured or recharged products it kind of contradicts our commitment. It certainly doesn’t create more recycling jobs.

Green products are manufactured by major US companies, who spend millions on research and development to bring you another alternative when you purchase consumable products for your printer. Look at your printer, look at your computer and look at your cell phone. Yes, they probably are made somewhere but not in the USA. Look at the ink and toner products they offer American consumers, where are they made?
